Governing Documents (POA is included)

The Virginia Property Owners' Association Act governs the operation of all common interest communities (also referred to as HOA, PUD, homeowners associations, and community associations).

The Office of the Common Interest Community Ombudsman offers assistance and information to association members regarding the rights and processes available to them through their associations.

Brickshire is also subject to the provisions of the Virginia NonStock Corporation Act.

The following documents govern operation of the common interest developments of your association. Should you have any trouble understanding them, please contact the association manager for clarification. The documents are listed in order of hierarchy.

If you are selling your home, you are required by law to provide the Virginia Resale Disclosure to the new buyer. These documents below are part of that Disclosure Package, but do not complete it. In order to make sure you follow the Virginia POA Act, please go to FirstService | Resale & Lender Ordering Site (welcomelink.com) to order the full disclosure.
