WELCOME TO BRICKSHIRE!
Brickshire, in the heart of historic Virginia began development in 2003. It is now home to more than 900 families, who enjoy all the beauty and serenity of the country with the added benefits of being within thirty minutes of two metropolitan areas and an active community association lifestyle. At build-out, the neighborhoods of Brickshire will be home to approximately 1,100 families of varying sizes and ages.
Nine distinct neighborhoods make up the community along with a variety of amenities including over three miles of bike trails, community pool and clubhouse, an activities center with a fitness center, card room, and meeting room, tennis courts, ball field, dog park and playground. The Association maintains these amenities along with each neighborhood entrance and the landscaping throughout the community. The Golf Club at Brickshire is seperately managed though residents can choose to join with an optional membership. (Golf membership is not included in the amenity fee and is seperate) The Grille at the Golf Club is a great on site restaurant that is open to all residents of Brickshire and also the public!
Residents enjoy a variety of activities in the neighborhood planned by the various committees and community groups. The Social Committee hosts member socials at the Owners' Clubhouse, plans outings such as a riverboat cruise and dinner theater excursion, as well as an annual progressive dinner, Angel Tree and Food Drive, and more. The active Children's Committee plans family friendly events for all ages including the Spring Frolic, Parent's Night Out, Summer Carnival, and other fun activities. Other clubs and activities include the Art Group, Bunco, Ladies' Mah Jong, Chess Club, Pickleball, Knitting and Needlework, Bridge and Euchre. Check the calendar for activities that are scheduled at this time.
A five-member elected Board of Directors manages affairs of the Brickshire Community Association, and the day-to-day management is conducted by Richmond, Virginia based Evernest with Association Manager, Brooke Arcia, and Jessica Fogo on site in the Brickshire Community Office. A number of committees assist in the planning and operations of the Association including Finance, Building and Grounds, Social, and the Architectural Review Board oversees all new construction and current homeowner approvals.
